I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado and am available to meet with you virtually or in-person at my office in Boulder, Colorado. In my office, I’m often joined by Ruby, a non-shedding, hypoallergenic therapy dog.

As a solid generalist, I enjoy working with individuals struggling with issues related to identity, multicultural issues/cultural adjustment, life transitions, grief/loss, anxiety, substance abuse/addiction, and relationship challenges. I am also passionate about supporting other therapists, particularly those who are newer to the field. I have additional training in Brainspotting and have taught graduate courses in substance abuse/addiction for over 13 years.

Education & Experience

I have a Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from Syracuse University and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Additionally, I hold a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Addiction Studies from Syracuse University.

For 30+ years of my career, I have worked with undergraduate and graduate students and faculty/staff of all ages in university environments, both nationally and internationally. I have also worked with many individuals outside of these settings.

As a Brainspotting therapist, I sometimes utilize this brain-based therapy which is designed to help individuals process trauma, anxiety, or other challenging emotions.

In addition to my clinical practice, I serve as an Adjunct Faculty Member in NYU’s Department of Applied Psychology. I am also a Mental Health Consultant and provide training and support for a wide range of educational and study-abroad organizations.

Whether you’re navigating a specific challenge, struggling with difficult emotions, or wanting to make a change in your life, therapy can be a powerful place to begin.
